WJ & AE Compressors and Condensing Units  - New Brochures available!

Recently we told you about the planned release of the new AE18 and WJ compressors and condensing units. They are now a reality with stock now available in our branches.

AE18LZ and AE18MG compressors are extensions of the proven AE family, with sintered connecting rods and other revisions to match the increased size and output. Connecting tubes are copper, and each compressor has a potential relay in a separate electrical box. AE18 models will replace AK compressors of 19 cc displacement.

The WJ, in six models covering three displacements, is a single cylinder compressor based on the reliable AW twin cylinder design. The WJ replaces the AJ and larger AK compressors, and offers the same mounting configuration as those two designs. Single fan condensing units are offered for all WJ models, approved either for LBP R404A / R507 and MBP R134a, or for R22 / R404A M/HBP.

Water Defrost Evaporators

After extensive laboratory and field testing Kirby have released their large evaporator range for Water Defrost Applications featuring:-

• Aluminium stucco design
• Ease of serviceability of water header tray and inlet tubes
• Ideal for fruit and vegetable storage and ripening rooms
• Ability to achieve high humidity in cool rooms
• Rear splash shields to catch excess ice
• Water header design  to maximise defrost efficiency by even water distribution over the coil block.

Ice Storage Packaged Units

Another new product that's been developed is the Ice Storage Packaged Units, designed for the storage of pre-bagged ice in Service Station/ Convenience stores. These new products are based on the Standard Kirby Drop-In range

Contractor is a new standard in condensing units for the refrigeration industry. This new product range offers the flexibility and the options that a contractor needs for the wide range of applications that are regularly encountered.

Contractor offers you -

• Your choice of compressor types, from the world's leading manufacturers.
• Tecumseh reciprocating or the Copeland scroll
• The choice to stay with two fans if you wish (giving the ability to cycle one fan in low ambient temperatures or at night, plus the confidence that a condenser fan motor failure will not cause a complete loss of refrigeration), or specify one fan (on models up to 5 HP) for the most economical solution. With one fan or two, Contractor is designed for operation at 43° ambient temperature.
• A wide range of options, including oil separators, suction accumulators, liquid line solenoid valves. All specified as kits, so that nominating options and quoting your customers will be straightforward. This feature will appeal to specifiers and designers, as well as contractors, as it offers a unit with factory-built quality and with all ancillaries fitted.
• The electrical configuration that you select, including contactors, circuit breakers, thermal overloads, phase fail protection. The electrical components you choose in a generously sized new box, with DIN rail capacity to spare for other devices you may want to install. The box faces the front of the unit, but can be quickly repositioned in the field to face the side if this provides more convenient access.
• All compressors which are approved by their manufacturers for use with POE are supplied with POE as standard, allowing application with the widest range of normally-used refrigerants.
